Shelby Means, one of the foremost bassists in bluegrass, has a singular stage presence, and a magnetic, centered approach to the upright bass. She is also an accomplished songwriter and a heartfelt vocalist whose voice is rooted in tradition while authentically her own. She was a member of the all-women bluegrass band Della Mae and later earned her first GRAMMY® with the Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway. She has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, Bonnaroo, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and Newport Folk.
